Passport with a minimum validity of six (6) months. According to the application regulation 631-11.
Residence Visa (RS).
Birth certificate.
Four (4) recent photographs, from the same set: two (2) from the front and two (2), from the right profile, size 2×2, white background
Certificate of No Criminal Record from your country of origin or from the country where you have resided in the last five (5) years.
Marriage certificate, declaration of single status or proof of cohabitation, apostille stamp or legalized.

Procedures to follow
1- Enter the DGM services portal. (https://personal.migracion.gob.do).
2- Register your username and password in the system. (If you have already registered previously, enter your previous username and password).
3- Selection of the service:
3.1- Choose the option “LIST OF APPLICATIONS”.
3.2- In the “AVAILABLE SERVICES” option, select the LOCATION-OFFICE where you will receive the service.
3.3- From the “LIST OF SERVICES”, choose the service you will request.
3.4- Complete all the information required in the “INFORMATIVE QUESTIONNAIRE FOR APPLICANT”.
- The scanned documents must be in JPG format for the application via the web.
- The medical examination must take place within three (3) days after the payment (including the day of payment), otherwise you will have to make the payment again. You must wait (10) ten days to know the results thereof.
- All documents deposited in the DGM must be original and must be notarized, legalized and apostille, as appropriate.
When you finish the process you will get Temporary Residence ID:

RESIDENCE VISA REQUIREMENTS (RS):
They will be issued in favor of people interested in permanently residing in the country. People who have the following reasons qualify for this type of visa:
Family ties (family reunification by marriage / direct dependency).
Investors Law 171-07.
Pensioners, Retirees or Renters according to Law 171-07.
The Residence Visa (RS) is valid for use for sixty (60) days and is valid for one (1) single entry. Once in Dominican territory, the beneficiary of this visa must appear before the General Directorate of Migration to formalize the procedures for their temporary residence, having to complete the additional requirements that it requires, this visa being the first requirement. (Section VI, Article 48, Paragraph (a) Decree No. 631-11, Regulations for the application of the General Migration Law No. 285-04).
Temporary Worker Visa (VTT) REQUIREMENTS
Present yourself at the offices of the Dominican consular missions with the following documentation and requirements:
Visa application letter addressed to the head of the diplomatic or consular mission, containing the name and nationality of the beneficiary, place of residence and activity to which he will be engaged in the country, including the data of the employing company. 1.1 Visa request letter addressed to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, when the foreigner at the time Resolution No. 2/14 d/f entered into force on January 16, 2014, were in Dominican territory carrying out work whose nature was qualified as temporary worker by immigration regulations, in an effort to facilitate the immigration regulation process.
Completed and duly completed Visa Form, typed or legibly printed. Available at the headquarters of the consular offices or on the consular services portal www.consuladord.com to be filled out online.
One (1) photograph size 2 x 2 centimeters, frontal and with a white background, without jewelry or accessories and uncovered ears.
Original passport with a minimum validity of eighteen (18) months, accompanied by one (1) copy of the complete passport.
Legible photocopy of the official identity document from the country of origin, as well as a legible photocopy of the residence card, if you reside in a second country.
Certificate of no criminal record, from the country of residence of the worker, or from the last country in which he was domiciled, duly translated into Spanish if it was in another language, apostilled or legalized by the Dominican consulate, as appropriate.
Original letter, issued by the institution, body, company or natural person with whom the foreigner will carry out temporary work, stating the commitment to comply with the conditions and requirements on labor rights and conditions of the country, communication of information on workers, transportation, travel expenses and repatriation.
Insurance guarantee bond to cover medical and repatriation expenses.
Medical Certificate presenting a diagnosis of the applicant's general state of health and indicating whether he or she suffers from any type of infectious disease. It must be issued by the corresponding health authorities, duly translated into Spanish if it is in another language, apostilled or legalized by the Dominican consulate, as appropriate.
Communication from the employing company with the promise of work, attaching a certification from the Ministry of Labor stating that it is registered with the Ministry of Labor and is registered with the Social Security Treasury (TSS).
In the case of visa applications in favor of seasonal workers under the contracted contingent regime, submit a copy of the entry application approved by the General Directorate of Migration (DGM).
