
Electricity Company CEPM is a private company in the electricity sector in the Dominican Republic.
CEPM generates, transmits, distributes and markets energy in the tourist area of Punta Cana-Bavaro and Bayahibe.

History of CEPM
In 1990 the Government of the Dominican Republic approved Law 14-90. Which creates the legal framework to encourage the development of the country’s power sector through domestic and foreign investors.

In 1992 a group of international private investors undertake the creation of the Energy Consortium Punta Cana Macao (CEPM).
Heavy Fuel Oil HFO 4 MW supplied power. And in the year 1996, CEPM firm installs a new Central with 4 MW engines.
In 2000 the network expands and incorporates two groups of 6 Mws Wartsila.
2003, came the service of Thermal Energy.
In 2008 was inaugurated the 138kV transmission line. CEPM in 2010 became the first company providing prepaid power in the country. Read more about Prepaid CEPM.

Methods of payment CEPM
Each month you should receive plastic envelope with the CEPMĀ electricity bill, under the door.
You can pay CEPM electricity bill bill in the banks Banco Popular, and Banco BHD.
Electronic payments, you can pay with online banking with Banco Popular, or you can pay with Virtual Office
You must request access to our Virtual Office at any of CEPM offices, by registering your credit card. (Applied to CEPM system 48 hours after payment being made)
Pay by phone by calling 809 552-6240. You must register your credit card first in the office.
Automatic payments with your credit card or by having the bank account in Banco Popular. You must register it first in the office.
Payment in commercial offices.
