Generally there are only few “big supermarkets” in Punta Cana or Bavaro. Supermercado Iberia, Supermercado Nacional, Sirena (ex Super Pola) and Super Lama. There are many big grocery stores and many, many mini markets (colmado).
Higuey
Supermercado Iberia, Higuey (809) 544-4444. This is our old supermarket in Higuey that we used to travel 40 km when there was no big stores. It has underground parking, and Dominican restaurant second floor.
Friusa
Supermercado Iberia Bavaro, Plaza Tres Center. 809 552-6666. This market is located on Friusa, lots of Spanish goods for sale.
Texaco Mini market (24h) on the gas station Texaco. This is a typical colmado type market.
Los Corales and Cocotal
- Mini market Irina Los Corales 849-653-7336 This mini market has and extremely fast delivery to area of Los Corales and some parts of El Cortecito.
- Mini market Cocotal El Coco – 849-851-6199 This mini market has a delivery to Cocotal Golf area, also there is a bakery on the side.
- Mini Market D’Sol Costa Bavaro, 809-455-5173 delivery to Villas Bavaro and Cocotal Golf.
La Romana Higuey
Jumbo, La Romana, 809-813-5032 We have following this also a Jumbo Bavaro in front of Sirena Bavaro (Super Pola).
Supermercado Sirena, Higuey, 809-554-7100 One of the big supermarkets in Higuey.
Puntacana Village and Cap Cana
Nacional, next to Blue Mall Punta Cana. This supermarket was moved from old location in Puntacana Village to Blue Mall location. On the side of this supermarket is Casa Cuesta, a shop for home articles.
You should expect long lines in Supermercado Nacional always besides Holidays. However there is a fast line on the side. Well its the only market in Punta Cana where you can buy a bison ground beef.
Bavaro
Supermercado Sirena (formerly Super Pola), Plaza San Juan, Coco Loco Crossroad. 809 466-0121
Renewed in 2022, converted from Super Pola to Sirena. On the side then we have finally a new IKEA store.
Super Lama, Texaco Villas Bavaro, 809-533-4848 This market is a middle size next to the gas station, and Villas Bavaro.
